Curry noodle must have:

extra chilli paste, fresh cockles, blood pudding and heaps of fresh mint leaves.

Last but not least, ice coffee how ever you like it.

Curry Noodle aka “Kar-Lee-Mee”  is essentially part of Penang’s famous food culture.  In Singapore, it is more commonly known as The Laksa. Few years ago, it went internationally famous, going by the name of Penang White Curry Noodle. Even Adelaide’s Asian Grocery Shop has instant Penang White Curry Noodle fully stocked. It’s a gem when you find something of your hometown in a foreign land.

Anyway, contrary to non-local popular belief that curry noodle is white soup base, curry noodle is a dish coloured red to us. After adding the special house-made chilli paste, the soup would turn orangey red. Most Penang people as avid spicy eaters, would request for extra chilli paste.

I would pass the extra chilli and go for less spicy please~ and a glass of ice Kopi-C Kosong, ice coffee with evaporated milk and Kosong means no sugar please.

Oh, Let’s go have curry noodle, and ice Kopi-C Kosong. I know somewhere nice to enjoy it.
