[食談] The Turkish Eggs

Finally!! I’m not on morning roster and that Turkish Eggs is back on the Today’s Specials, I was so excited that I could not sleep the night before.

Anyway before Sunday morning, I was so torn apart by the choices of Moroccan Eggs, Cherry Ripe Crepes or Turkish Eggs offered at Tin Cat Cafe. Both Cherry crepes and Turkish eggs are part of the specials, while Moroccan eggs is part of the regular brunch menu.  I would really love to have all three at once! If I really could stomach them all~

Anyhow, after lots of thinking and asking for advice, (oh! I really did!) I finally made up my mind, I should go for Turkish eggs because I’m not sure when it’s going to be back on the specials.

Turkish eggs came with nicely soft poached eggs with runny yolks, house-made dukkah spice, tzatziki spread and sautéed spinach which was hidden right beneath my eggs. I had mushrooms and bacons as add ons because I just can’t live without them.

Having the tzatziki spread on my bread with mushroom and dukkah spice was absolutely brilliant. I hadn’t had anything like this before. To me it feels like a witty twist between food cultures, and I really love it. Cheers to the chefs at Tin Cat Cafe.

Honestly, I’m not a very breakfast person regardless how early I wake up. Because nothing seems to interest my picky appetite. But if I am to wake up everyday to have beautifully poached eggs, tzatziki spread and dukkah spice on bread. Oh! not to forget mushrooms and bacons! Then, breakfast I should have everyday.

Feeling extremely satisfied with the Turkish Eggs, now I’m looking forward to taste the Moroccan Eggs. Finger crossed that Turkish eggs and Moroccan Eggs will always be on their menus!
